Two things to plan around before moving day:
Boxes or packing materials to buy. We don't sell or supply them. Our crew uses good-quality materials when packing for you, but you'll need your own boxes for any rooms you pack yourself.
A guaranteed same-day move. If your completion date changes at short notice, we help whenever we can, but we can't promise a slot.

If you've chosen full or part packing, our crew usually packs the day before. Set aside anything that's staying with you.

Most things you won't need for a while can go into storage, from spare-room furniture to boxed-up loft contents. Furniture storage is simpler when beds and wardrobes are taken apart, which we do for standard items. Empty drawers of loose items and list what's in each box, so you know where things are when they're delivered.
The mistake to avoid is packing something you'll need next week. Set these aside before moving day and keep them with you:

Can you store my things between moves?
Yes. We have secure storage, so your belongings can stay with us from the day you move out until the day you move in.
How much does storage cost when moving house?
There's no set price, because each storage move is quoted on its own details. We look at what's going into storage, both addresses and any packing you choose, then give you a clear price. Request a Quote and tell us your dates.
What if I don't have a completion date yet?
You can still get a quote and book the move out of your current home. Once your move-in date is confirmed, we'll book the delivery from storage. Ideally give us two to four weeks' notice, and we help at shorter notice whenever we can.
Should I declutter before my things go into storage?
Yes, it's worth doing first. Everything that goes into storage is loaded and unloaded twice, once going in and once coming out, so clear out anything you won't keep before the move. It also means less to pack and a smaller load on both moving days.
Are my belongings insured on both trips?
Yes. Our insurance covers your belongings in transit and while we handle them, on the trip to storage and on the final delivery.
Can you pack everything for storage, including fragile items?
Yes. We can pack every room or only the ones you pick, fragile items included. We bring the materials for any rooms we pack. See our packing services for more.
Can you clear a storage unit and bring everything to my new home?
Yes. Clearing out a storage unit is one of the jobs our man and van service covers. Tell us where the unit is, what's inside and where it's going, and we'll quote the right size of move.
